You glanced up from your book as your younger brother, Peter, bounded in the room.
He grinned as he saw you and clambered up the couch, sitting next to you.
"A book," you say, going back to reading.
Peter just pouted and tapped you on the shoulder. Sighing, you turned to face him again.
"Yes? What is it, Peter?"
"I want some lollipops.."
You raised you eyebrows at him, "Don't we keep some in the pantry?"
He just pouted again, but this time it was accompanied by puppy dog eyes, "No~ We ran out! Can you please go to the store and buy me some?"
"Hm.. Alright. I'll buy you some, if you behave for the rest of the time I'm watching you. Is that a deal?"
He nodded, a smile appearing on his face, "Yes! Thank you big sis!! You're a much better sibling than that jerk face, England!" Peter smiled one last time before going back up to his room to continue what he was doing before.
You just shrugged and went back to reading. He could take care of himself, he had a goal that if he achieved, will get him lollipops.
.::3 hours later::.
You looked up to see Arthur come in, shaking his umbrella free from raindrops, "Woah. Bro, don't do that. You're splattering rain water everywhere. I'd rather not clean up,"
Arthur sighed, running his hand through his blonde locks, "Sorry. I'm just really peeved. America and France did something stupid and annoying today,"
"Still, that's no reason to mess up the floor,"
"Again, sorry," He sighed and placed the umbrella by the door way. Arthur went and sat next to you , grabbing a biscuit from the plate on the table.
You both stayed sitting in silence, enjoying each other's company. After all, you barely got to see your older brothers due to the various World Meetings.
After a while, you stood up and placed your book on the table, "Hey, can you watch after Peter for me? I have to go to the store and buy some stuff,"
He nodded, "Alright, but only because you watched him while my brothers and I were at the meeting,"
Quickly, you ran upstairs and grabbed a rain coat from your room before running back downstairs. Walking to the doorway, you paused to grab Arthur's umbrella, yelled a quick bye before leaving the house.
By the time you had come home, the rain had let up and the sun was shining.
Immediately, as soon as you entered the house, Sealand appeared, asking for lollipops.
"Um.. Unfortunately, they didn't have any. I bought you magic beans that can grow some though," you smile, handing him normal jelly beans. He just stared at them, causing you to go and direct him to the backyard.
"Go, plant them. I assure you that lollipops will appear tomorrow,"
So, Peter went and planted them. You watched, smiling as he did.
Throughout the night, Peter proceeded to check the backyard for any signs of lollipops, until every one of your brothers got annoyed and told him to sit his butt down or else. He relucantly did so, but you could see him fidgeting in his seat, causing you to chuckle softly.
As soon as dinner was finished, he was about to go off and check again, had you not stopped him.
"Peter, if you keep checking on them, they'll never grow. I suggest you go to sleep and see tomorrow. Alright?"
Peter pouted before nodding and trudging his way upstairs. You just shook your head, smiling. He sure was very excited for something as small as lollipops. It somehow reminded you of your childhood when your brothers would do small things like this that made you quite happy.
As soon as the sun rose, you quickly got out of bed, grabbed 5 lollipops placed under your bed and went outside. You poked the lollipops' stick through the dirt as if to imply that they had grown. Smiling, you stood up and brush yourself off as you headed inside to prepare some morning tea and biscuits.
.:: Timeskip again::.
The creaking of stairs got your attention as Arthur descended, "Good morning."
"Morning, bro. Had a good night's rest?" you ask, raising an eyebrow as he went and sat in front of you, pouring himself a cup of tea.
"Unfortunately, no. Peter wouldn't quit making noise from his room until 2 am. But I think he stayed awake until 3. I'm not quite sure for I had fallen asleep by then," Arthur sighed, content as he sipped his tea, reading the newspaper the paper boy had brought. Everything was silent, just like how the two of you liked it.
The silence was interrupted, however, as someone's feet pounded down the stairs causing the both of you to look up.
Peter had just woken up. Usually, he was the last one awake, but apparently he was really excited for the lollipops, for he quickly ran outside.
A loud cheer, caused the two nations inside to glance at each other. They both stood up and went to stand by the door to watch Peter dance around, five lollipops at hand.
You smiled, not noticing Arthur staring at you, "That was you, wasn't it?"
"Yes. He wanted lollipops yesterday, so I came up with a great idea to give him some. Isn't it a great idea?"
"Yes. He actually looks quite.. cute when he's like this,"
"Uh-huh. I'm quite happy that Peter's delighted to see candy,"
"Yes, I agree," the two of you continued to stare at your little brother until Peter uttered something that made you sweatdrop.
"Hey! These lollipops didn't grow on where I planted those beans!"
